Moving Out

Well, Jaxon has had a very busy week. He had his 4 month wellness checkup the other day and continues to grow like crazy - 15 pounds 8 oz and 26 1/2 inches long. He did really well with his vaccinations - thank goodness!! As some of you already know, his head is not shaping up as quickly as we would like. It is still not rounded out in the back, so we are going to have a CT scan done and then discuss possible helmet therapy. It couldn't be better timing, because it is just in time for football season! At least he won't have to wear shoulder pads, too!

He also got the green light to start cereal. Well, we have tried it and he is getting much better. The first time I decided to wait until he was hungry and then try it, which wasn't smart when you have an impatient baby. Using the spoon wasn't fast enough for him, so now we have to make sure he has a bottle before we do cereal. He loves it when we do it this way. He really takes his time to enjoy it, although most of it ends up on his chin. It is too cute!

I am sure that you noticed the title 'Moving Out'. Well, Jaxon is not looking for his own place just yet, but he did move into his own room. Yes, he has been sleeping in our room in his bassinet, but last night was his first night to sleep in his crib in his room. I don't knw who was more nervous, me or him, but he did great!! I think he enjoyed it because he woke up at about 4:00 and we could hear him in there playing, but then he just went right back to sleep. He went to sleep at about 9:00 and was ready to get up to eat at about 6:00. I though that was a pretty good nights sleep for his first night alone in his room!! He went to sleep facing one direction and then when we went in there to check on him, he was facing the other direction! I don't know how he managed that, but he didn't seem to mind.

As you can see, he has had a lot going on. I will post some recent pictures of him soon. He is just getting so big!! I can't believe how fast the past 4 months have gone!

This is an ultrasound picture taken in December. You can see it is a headshot. He is holding his hands up by his face and is even grinning for the camera!

Dudley wore this T-shirt to reveal the exciting news that he was going to have a new sibling. His shirt said "Have you heard the big news? I'm going to be a big brother!!"
