Jaxon also recently had his 6 month check-up. He did really well and is healthy as can be. He is teething, although none have popped through yet and he weighed in at 18 lbs. 12 ounces and was 27 1/2 inches long. So far, he is a pretty big boy! He's a good eater, too. Of course, he still LOVES his bottle; he's eating cereal, has tried all veggies, and most fruits.
Last week, we went to the Smith's for our annual night of pumpkin carving. Each year, we all get together (me, Jonathan, Lindsey, Jennifer, Warren, Carolyn, Connor, Griffin, and this year new baby Jaxon). We each have our own pumpkin and then we carve it. When we are finished, we line them up on the table and admire our work! We always have a blast and it is so funny to see how our pumpkins turn out. Jaxon dressed for the occasion and wore his 'little punkin' outfit. He really enjoyed playing with Griffin's toys while we carved. When we got home, we immediately placed our pumpkins on our front porch. That week, it was time to prepare for Halloween. We spent an afternoon trying to decide what Jaxon could be
. One of my friends, Stacey, let us borrow an absolutely adorable Teddy Bear costume, but unfortunately Jaxon's helmet caused the ears not to fit right. So, we decided that he should be a little Titan's football player. He looked adorable, but it didn't stop there. Jonathan also dressed up - he was the Head Coach, Jeff Fisher (yes - mustache and all)! It was so funny. Many people wanted to know where we got that awesome helmet. Little did they know, it was the most expensive costume of the night and was purchased through Vanderbilt Restorative Health Services! We had a really good night. Mimi came up for the weekend and we went with our neighbors to a neighborhood that has a bunch of trick-or-treaters. It was fun to look at all of the different costumes. I think Jaxon really enjoyed his first Halloween!
We are now settled in for a little while and some of our friends from Louisville are coming up to stay with us for the weekend. Next week, we will have our helmet appointment with Dr. Kelly. I will keep everyone updated with any news and progress. As for now, we will keep cheering for the Titans and hope that they continue their undefeated season!! Jaxon will keep sportin his Titan helmet and before we know it, Thanksgiving will be here!
