Thunder Weekend!

Well, over the past weekend, Jonathan had a soccer tournament in Louisville and it just so happend that it was the same weekend as "Thunder Over Louisville." We decided to make a long weekend of it and visit with some friends that we haven't see in a while. Jaxon loved it, but was definately sick of riding in the car by the time Sunday rolled around. Friday we were able to go to Lexington and visit with our friends, The Howard's, who just had a baby girl named Lily. She was only 5 weeks old and just adorable. It was so nice to be able to spend a little time with them. That night, we decided to go ahead and head to Louisville where we stayed for the weekend. Jaxon was SO excited when we got to the hotel. Even though we didn't go swimming, he loved going to look at the pool.

The next day, of course, we watched and played lots of soccer. Actually, it was really neat because the soccer complex was right by the river and we were able to enjoy the air show that was a part of 'Thunder Over Louisville.' Jaxon thought all of the airplanes and helicopters were really cool. We even went to eat lunch on the river and were able to see all of the boats heading down the river. How exciting for a little boy that LOVES anything that moves! The crowd and the traffic was unbelievable, so we decided to watch the fireworks from our TV at the hotel. It was just as well because Jaxon was worn out and so were we! The next day, we were also able to visit with our good friends, the Prather's. We finally met their new addition to the family, baby Lacy. Although he wasn't crazy about me holding baby Lacy, we had a great visit and Jaxon really enjoyed playing with Brennan and Rhyan. When I was holding the baby, he cried and kept saying "My mommy!" He is something else!! Anyway, below are some pictures that I took over the weekend.

This is an ultrasound picture taken in December. You can see it is a headshot. He is holding his hands up by his face and is even grinning for the camera!
