Hilton Head

A few weeks ago, Jonathan and I took Jaxon to Hilton Head for the week. We had a blast and so did Jaxon, of course. Here are a few pictures from our trip.
A walk on the beach the first night we got there.

Ready for a day at the beach!

Jaxon enjoyed playing a little soccer on the beach.

He also liked trying to play ring toss.

One day, we decided to take Jaxon to an interactive children's museum called, The Sandbox. Jaxon had such a great time. Here he is pretending to be a construction worker, painting the walls.

Now, he is a passenger in a plane!

I am now the passenger, and he is the pilot! He LOVED this!

One thing we loved about Hilton Head was visiting the Harbor area. There was always something fun going on at the harbor and we were able to ride our bikes right over there to enjoy the festivities. You can see in the picture below, Jaxon is dancing in the distance on the patio. We were at really neat restaurant right on the harbor and Jaxon loved dancing to the live music!

Still dancing...

Now, dancing with a random man....Jaxon is a dancing machine and the life of the party!

Watching the fireworks...he said "It's gorgeous!"

One day we decided to take a day trip to visit the city of Savannah. I was so glad that we did this because we had never been there and it was so neat! It was only about 45 minutes away from Hilton Head, so it was totally worth it. We took a trolley tour of the city and stopped at a museum. You can see in the picture below that Jaxon found a train in the museum. We also saw the Forrest Gump bench, too. It was really a lot of fun!

We also stopped to eat lunch at a restaurant called The Pirates House. It was in one of the oldest buildings in Savannah and was right on the river. The food was great and Jaxon was able to meet a pirate. I didn't have my camera with me at the time, but he didn't really care for him anyway. We were going to eat at Paula Dean's restaurant, but unfortunately, they were booked through lunch. It was neat to see though!

I think Jaxon's favorite part was the pool. He loved swimming with his "race car" float.

I know I say this all the time, but he is so much fun!

Jaxon and his race car float, that was definitely going flat by the end of the week.

He was pretty confident with his floaties on!

Getting tossed my dad- he was just giggle and giggle

A little rest time....

Fortunately, we were able to take our bikes with us. We used these all week long! Hilton Head had bike paths to pretty much anywhere you wanted to go. It was really nice and Jaxon enjoyed the rides, too.

Late afternoon walk on the beach.

In the later afternoon, the tide would go down, which gave Jaxon the perfect shallow areas to explore in the sand and ocean. He was even able to see a starfish one day.

He was very busy on the beach!

By far, one of his favorite activities was playing put-put. He could not get enough golf!

He was trying really hard!

When the shot was too hard, he would just pick it up and toss the ball in the whole!

At the Harbour, they also had a really cool show for kids, called the Shannon Tanner Show. Shannon would sing and the kids would participate as well. Jaxon enjoyed it a t first, but by the end, he just wanted to go get some ice cream!

It was cute watching all of the kids. One thing for sure, Hilton Head was a great place for a family vacation. It was totally kid-friendly and very family oriented. We had a great time! I can't wait to go back!

Building one more sand castle with dad!
