Closing the Year and New Beginnings!

December was such a fun month for us. Jonathan and I found out that the bank accepted our offer, so we were able to close on the house and begin making it our own. Jaxon has had such a tremendous year! He has just developed into an amazing child. He has started to really sing songs now - he'll sing the ABC song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Jingle Bells, and Love is a Battlefild by Jordan Sparks, just to name a few. He is so funny. He can count to 14, but then he stops and repeats 14 for a while and then will say 19, 20! It is so cute watching and listening to him. You never know what he is going to say!

We kicked off the month with a little get together with the West family. Jaxon loves hanging out with Kaylor (he calls her KK). It is so cute!

Since Jaxon has become a big fan of Sesame Street, Jonathan and I took him to see Sesame Street Live downtown. We had awesome seats. Jaxon was right up front and enjoyed the show by dancing along and waving to all of the characters. Whenever Elmo left the stage, he would say "Where's Elmo?" He was definately his favorite.

Jaxon also had breakfast with Santa Claus at his daycare. Grandma came in town, so we all took him to the breakfast and to see Santa Claus. He was not crazy about sitting in his lap, but he would wave to him from far away. I think his favorite part was playing with the water fountain and eating breakfast!

I don't think Jaxon really wanted to sit on Santa's lap

OK- Jaxon's thinking "enough is enough!"

I was also able to make it to his class Christmas party which was really cute. It is so funny to watch him interact with the others in his class. He knows all of their names and makes sure that he says bye to his friends before leaving class each day. For their party, there were snacks and presents. Each child brought one gift and then they all exchanged. It was really adorable.

He was so excited mommy was there with him!

Each year we always look forward to the West Family Christmas party. We always eat a bunch of food and play RockBand. It seems like every year there are more and more little ones that attend and it is so great to see them all together playing and having a good time.

This year for Christmas, Jonathan and I wanted to have our families spend Christmas in our new home. We were so excited to get all of the work finished and to spend the holidays with our families. On Christmas Eve, my mom (MiMi), mema, Jonathan's mom (Grandma), Aunt Emily, Uncle Johnathan, and four doggies spent the night with us. We were so excited to have everyone in our home and then wake up to enjoy Christmas morning with Jaxon. When he woke up, he knew that something was different because so many different people were coming into his room to tell him good morning and Merry Christmas. It was so funny to watch him walk down the hall to the living room, where Santa left his toys, because he stopped half way and saw us all gathered around the room with our cameras and video cameras.

I do have to admit that we all went a little overboard. I think that Jaxon got every toy that you could think of that a little boy would want. Although he likes it all, his favorites would have to be his riding airplane/rocket, toy train set, tricycle, vacume cleaner, guitar, race car set, police car, basketball hoop, and T-ball set.

He LOVES to vacume!

He also LOVES to play he guitar!

That day, we all hung out and played with our new toys. My aunt and uncle also came down from Bardstown KY to have Christmas Dinner. We had so much fun. It was awesome to have everyone together on Christmas Day.

The next day, we went to Howenwald to have Christmas with Jonathan's grandparents. Of course, we ate and ate some more. It was so nice to spend time with everyone this Christmas! A few days later we headed to KY to spend a few days with our moms. We had such an awesome Christmas, it'll be hard to top next year! Most of all, it was just so nice to be able to spend some time with our family and friends!
