During November, we also had to make our first trip to the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital Emergency Room. Jaxon had not been feeling well, so I had taken him to the doctor and they said it was a combination of a bacterial and viral infection, so they started him on some antibiotics. He was coughing, congested, and occasionally throwing-up. Well, the very next day, Jaxon was wheezing pretty loud in his sleep, running a high fever, and was throwing up even more. The on-call doctor said that we really needed to get him to the hospital. Well, I was a nervous wreck! We got to the hospital and Jaxon's fever was 104 and after some Xrays, they found that he had pneumonia! They gave him 2 shots of antibiotics, and he had a little reaction so he then had to have a shot on Benadryl. We ended up having to stay for about 8 hours and then they let us come home. Needless to say, we didn't do a whole lot over Thanksgiving. We were able to make it to my family dinner and to Jonathan's family dinner. We just decided not to spend the night so Jaxon could get better rest and we would be close to the doctors if needed. Below are a few pictures from Thanksgiving.
